Bird flu: near Horley, Reigate and Banstead, Surrey (AIV 2022/233)
Highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) was confirmed in other captive birds on 21 December 2022.
Update 20 April: Following successful completion of disease control activities and surveillance in the zones, the captive bird (monitoring) controlled zone has been revoked.
Update 22 December 2022: Declaration amended to amend the grid reference.
All poultry on the premises have been humanely culled.

Following successful completion of disease control activities and surveillance in the zones, the 3 km captive bird (monitoring) controlled zone has been revoked.

Highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) H5N1 was confirmed in other captive birds on 21 December 2022 at a premises near Horley, Reigate and Banstead, Surrey (AIV 2022/233). A 3km captive bird (monitoring) controlled zone was put in place around the premises. All birds on the premises will be humanely culled. The declaration has been amended.
