Bird flu: near Tattenhall, Cheshire West and Chester, Cheshire (AIV 2022/191)

Highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) H5N1 was confirmed in commercial poultry on 8 November 2022.

9 February 2023: Following successful completion of disease control activities and surveillance in the zone, the 10km surveillance zone in England has been revoked.

27 January 2023: Following successful completion of disease control activities and surveillance within the zone, the 3km protection zone has ended and the area that formed the protection zone becomes part of the surveillance zone.

All poultry on the premises have been humanely culled.
