CLOSED: Driving apprenticeship growth across the SELEP area ( OC30S19P1477)
Call to run a project support SME’s to offer more apprenticeships, working with local partners and existing provision.
This call is now closed. Please do not submit an application for this call. The information provided on this page is for reference purposes only.
Details
As the Skills Strategy sets out, with a population of 0.5 million 15-25 year olds and 2.5 million people of working age, there is a considerable potential to support local people to take up apprenticeships. There is a need to support these individuals, ensure alignment to growth sectors and also the large proportion of SMEs across the SELEP area, who may lack capacity to navigate the apprenticeship levy and reforms.
Applications are therefore invited which support SME’s to offer more apprenticeships, working with local partners and existing provision. This could include assisting SME’s to navigate the levy, reforms and clarifying options for areas such as adult, degree and higher apprenticeships. It could also include supporting employers to access unspent levy and helping employers to explore options such as T Levels.
Bidders should consider related areas of work such as T-levels and work placements and simplifying the offer for individuals and SMEs. Support offered should be impartial.
