Details
Projects should clearly outline how they will:

Work closely with Humber based prisons to influence skills provision / curriculum within prisons locally to ensure it meets the needs of local employers

Support businesses, removing barriers and brokering opportunities for ex-offenders including work experience, work placements, traineeships, apprenticeships and employment opportunities

Match employer demand for particular skills with people currently in prison to provide opportunities for them to gain employment as soon as they complete their sentence, thereby reducing re-offending and meeting the needs of local employers

Develop innovative approaches to engaging employers in the justice agenda,

Work across the Humber LEP area, engaging with LEP partners, appropriate delivery organisations and stakeholders to deliver a responsive package of interventions with SMEs

Increase SME influence regarding prison commissioned work to support individual organisations

Offer a personalised support service for employers to ensure they receive advice and guidance regarding any former prisoner engaged within their employ
-
Facilitate and assist in the development of improved and joined up business influences that assist the whole of the Humber prison community.

The project must cover the Humber.
Value
Approximately £500,000 of funding is available.
Deadlines
Outline application deadline: 16/01/2019.
Completion date
The project must be completed no later than 3 years and 6 months after the proposed start date.
