Call to run a project to provide a mechanism for linking co-ordination of local employers with schools and young people to provide meaningful/inspirational experiences of the world of work, foster and encourage entrepreneurialism and ensure young people can make informed education and career choices in the Sheffield City Region Area (SCR).

Details
Applicants should clearly outline how they would co-ordinate (as a minimum) the following:

working with the SCR LEP and other local stakeholders to embed elements of the CEIAG strategy and other relevant policies (e.g. Post 16 Skills Plan)

development of essential work skills (i.e. communication, creativity, innovation and enterprise, critical thinking, team work, problem solving, resilience and character) of young people in both schools and colleges focusing on priority sector where existing provision is not otherwise available
- fostering enterprise and entrepreneurship

development of meaningful/inspirational interactions with employers for young people (i.e. tasters, work experience, mentors, meet the employer sessions), focusing on priority sector where existing provision is not otherwise available
- supporting employer involvement in curriculum design and delivery, focusing on priority industries where existing provision is not otherwise available.

The project must cover the Sheffield City Region Area.
Value
Approximately £1,599,696 of funding is available.
Deadlines
Outline application deadline: 18 January 2018.
Completion date
The project must be completed no later than 26 July 2021.
