Call to run a project to implement an effective skills support infrastructure within Sheffield City Region (SCR), which intends to deliver skills related support under a single, coordinated strategic framework and has identified the development of a bespoke local Skills Hub as the central pillar.

Details
The Skills Hub will ensure a clear path for employers in SCR to help them access support and guidance through the provision of:
- assistance with the identification of skills need
- advice service providing information and direct support to employers on how to access skills, and qualification support / provision
- provide a focus on businesses not already engaged in skills development
- support employers in key SCR growth industries
- develop relationships with local skills providers and Skills Bank operator
- support delivery of commissioned provision under ESF Priority 2.1
- support promotion and participation with apprenticeships
- ensure linkages with the national apprenticeship agenda
- support wider links with education providers and industry stakeholders
- make referrals to and receive referrals from the SCR Growth Hub
- align service delivery with Growth Hub operations.

The project must cover the Sheffield City Region Area.
Value
Approximately £1,978,855 of funding is available.
Deadlines
Outline application deadline: 18 January 2018.
Completion date
The project must be completed no later than 26 July 2021.
