You need an occasional permit from the police if you’re a certified firearms dealer wanting to trade outside your registered premises.

Download an application form from the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) website.

You need to hold a firearms dealer’s certificate to apply. You should apply at least 14 days before you need the permit.

Your application can cover more than 1 occasion.

It’s a criminal offence to deal in firearms and ammunition outside the places listed on your permit or firearms dealer’s certificate.

It’s also an offence if you don’t follow any conditions which PSNI attach to your permit.
