Details

The Flood Risk Management Research Consortium 2 (FRMRC2) programme is the second phase of the Flood Risk Management Research Consortium (FRMRC), which was launched in 2004. A particular feature of this second phase is the focus on coastal and urban flooding.

FRMRC2 delivers:

  • tools and techniques to support more accurate flood forecasting and warnings
  • improved management of flood infrastructure
  • a reduction of flood risk to people, property and the environment

This research project, which ran from 2008 to 2014, identifies ways to deliver process improvements and increase the operational efficiency of the FRMRC2 along with the systems, tools and evidence to underpin policy.
