Details
This guide gives advice on how to protect the public from harm on sites that are part of Flood and Coastal Risk Management activities. The idea is to do this without making it difficult to carry out day to day FCRM work.
It reviews the best ways of assessing risk and identifying potential dangers. The guide is targeted at technically competent asset managers or assessors, and is designed to give them confidence in their decisions about reasonable and appropriate safety controls.
Using the guide will help users identify, eliminate or reduce dangers which would be a risk to the public when they’re on or near flood or coastal risk management sites.
The project was started in 2006 and completed in 2009.
