Details

This report aimed to provide a baseline of the differences in how available and affordable flood insurance is between households at high risk of flooding (or who had recently flooded) and those at low risk. It considered differences in geography and socio-economic status and tested approaches to gathering insurance premium data from households for use in further research.

The research used:

  • desk research
  • telephone surveys
  • the Omnibus survey
  • a focus group in a high-risk area

This project was started in June 2013 and completed in June 2014.
