Assistive technology research and development reports
Annual reports on government-funded research to improve the lives of disabled and older people.
Section 22 of the Chronically Sick and Disabled Persons Act 1970 requires a report to be laid before Parliament each year describing the research that the government has funded to improve equipment that enables independence or wellbeing of disabled and older people. Such equipment is known as assistive technology.
These annual reports:
- provide information about the wide range of government-funded research supporting the development, introduction and evaluation of assistive technology
- outline how funded research projects aim to increase the independence or wellbeing of disabled and older people
