We received 2,577 responses to the consultation.

Ministers have agreed to increase most of DVSA’s statutory fees.

To allow time for the necessary changes to regulations, the fee increases will not be introduced until later in 2022.

Consultation description

This consultation proposes increasing the fees paid for services provided by DVSA, including:

  • theory tests
  • driving tests
  • vehicle tests

The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency is proposing to do this to avoid a future shortfall in its funds and to allow it to fund future work to modernise its services.
