Consultation description

We asked the Rt Hon Sir John Mummery to lead an independent review of the Competition Appeal Tribunal (CAT) rule of procedure. The aim of the review was to provide new improved rules to support the appeals process. This was against a background of reforms to competition law and the proposed changes in the Consumer Rights Bill.

Sir John has made improvements to the existing rules. He has also made several recommendations designed to ensure that the CAT continues to operate in an effective and efficient manner.

We welcome your views on these recommendations.

You’re also invited to an open meeting to discuss any concerns you may have, or to ask questions about this consultation before responding.
