Consultation description
The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) is consulting on changes to the sale of advertising airtime on ITV1 (including HD and +1 versions) under the undertakings given in 2003 (PDF, 889KB).
Specifically, ITV has requested to change the time length factors that it uses for its advertisements, with the intention of harmonising these across the different ITV regions and using the same time length factors as those used on Channel 4 airtime advertisements. At present, there are different time length factors across the different ITV regions, with these differences dating from before the Carlton and Granada merger in 2003.
