The public responses to this consultation were published on 13 March 2012.
The government originally consulted on reform of the telecommunications appeals framework as part of its wider consultation on the implementation of the revised EU Electronic Communications Framework. A number of industry stakeholders asked how that reform would work in practice.
Therefore, in the Government response to the Framework consultation published in April this year, we proposed to consult again in full as soon as was practicable. Our proposals for reform of the telecoms appeal framework are set out in the consultation below. The consultation document sets out our preferred legislative approach. It also takes account of the alternative approaches to reform of telecoms appeals suggested by stakeholders.
