Consultation description

The Autumn Statement 2013 announced the government’s intention to introduce a Right to Move for social tenants who need to move to take up a job or live closer to employment or training.

On 9 March 2015, the government set out the way forward to deliver Right to Move and indicated that it was minded to regulate to create a new reasonable preference category to give effect to the Right to Move when time allows.

This document seeks views on how the new reasonable preference category would work.
