We received 1,547 individual responses to this consultation.
Following consideration of these responses, 4 new sites will be added to the list of bathing waters before the beginning of the 2023 bathing season:
- Sykes Lane Bathing Beach, Rutland Water
- Whitwell Creek, Rutland Water
- Firestone Bay, Plymouth
- the area of the River Deben Estuary in Waldringfield that was the subject of the application

Consultation description
We want to know what you think about the proposal to designate 4 new bathing waters in England. The sites being considered are:
- Sykes Lane Bathing Beach, Rutland Water, Rutland
- Whitwell Creek, Rutland Water, Rutland
- Firestone Bay, Plymouth, Devon
- River Deben, Waldringfield, Suffolk
We also want to know your reasons or evidence to support your view.
