Consultation description

The Northern Ireland Office has published an EQIA on the UK Government’s proposals for legislation to address the legacy of the Troubles. We welcome comments from anyone with an interest in the EQIA, with specific reference to its impact on Section 75 groups.

The consultation period will last for 12 weeks and the deadline for submission of comments is Monday 8 August 2022 at 5pm.

A standard response is available to assist individuals and organisations to respond, but responses will be accepted in any written format (e.g. letter or email)

All comments should be sent in regard to the following:

  1. views on the assessment of impacts;
  2. any further information which could be useful in assessing the impacts;
  3. comments and suggestions on the mitigating measures
  4. comments and suggestions with regard to the consultation process.
