Consultation description
Following its commitment in chapter 7 of the Implementing Geological Disposal White Paper, DECC has engaged external support by convening a Community Representation Working Group (CRWG) to develop practical approaches for working with communities in the siting of a geological disposal facility (GDF).
The purpose of this call for evidence is to draw together evidence and information on the issues of community representation, community investment and the test of public support. Evidence submitted will be used to help the CRWG develop policy proposals for how each of these areas will work in practice during the siting process.
As already set out in the call for evidence document, when the call for evidence ends, we may publish or make public the evidence submitted. Also, members of the public may ask for a copy of responses under freedom of information legislation.
If you do not want your response - including your name, contact details and any other personal information – to be publicly available, please say so clearly in writing when you send your response to the call for evidence. Please note, if your computer automatically includes a confidentiality disclaimer that will not count as a confidentiality request.
Please explain why you need to keep details confidential. We will take your reasons into account if someone asks for this information under information legislation. However, we must comply with relevant legislation and cannot promise that we will always be able to keep those details confidential.
