The summary document summarises feedback from this consultation and from the previous consultation on this subject.

Based on the results of both consultations, this summary document outlines, among other things:

  • that the revised signs will be placed into legislation
  • the term ‘authorised user’ will not be legislated for and should be discouraged

Consultation description

As a result of feedback from the original consultation on improving signage at private level crossing, we have developed a revised set of sign designs. We are now seeking views on the revised designs.

The signs are designed to promote safer use by being visually displayed at private level crossings.
