Consultation description
Our proposed new guidance sets out the appropriate measures for regulated facilities with an environmental permit to mechanically treat metal waste in shredders.
This guidance is part of a series of sector specific guidance, some of which has already been published on GOV.UK:
- Healthcare waste: appropriate measures for permitted facilities
- Chemical waste: appropriate measures for permitted facilities
We have not published all of this guidance yet, for example our guidance for the non-hazardous waste and biowaste sectors.
