Consultation description

The paper sets out the research and evaluation priorities for the programme. The NHS Health Check is for 40 to 74 year olds and aims to reduce the risk of people developing preventable conditions.

PHE is committed to bringing greater scientific rigour to the NHS Health Check programme and this consultation is an important step in establishing the evidence required to ensure an effective programme.

The research priorities paper provides input from stakeholders from across the public health sector, as well as PHE’s understanding of current knowledge and academic research on NHS Health Checks.

We are keen to consult as widely as possible to ensure we have the views of a broad range of partners and stakeholders. Your experience and expertise will help shape research and evaluation for the NHS Health Check.
