Consultation description

Based on the NDA’s 2011 Strategy, the Plan sets out key objectives and expected progress for all sites over the next three years, in line with the funding allocated by the Department of Energy and Climate change (DECC). Also included is a 20-year overview of forthcoming activities across the 17 sites in the NDA’s estate.

The total planned expenditure for 2014/2015 is £3.2 billion, of which £2.2 billion will be funded by UK Government and £1.0 billion by income from commercial operations. Planned expenditure at Sellafield, the NDA’s largest and most complex site, will be £1.8 billion.

The consultation runs until 24 January 2014 and all responses will be considered before the NDA finalises the Business Plan, which, subject to approval by both the UK and Scottish Governments, will be published by the end of March 2013.
