Review of electricity market arrangements (REMA): second consultation
Detail of outcome
The second Review of Electricity Market Arrangements (REMA) consultation ran from 12 March 2024 to 7 May 2024. It posed 28 questions which sought views on a wide range of options for electricity market reform across several key market dimensions.
The government will use the responses from this second consultation and evidence submitted to inform further policy development. We aim to conclude policy development by around mid-2025 before moving into implementation of final decision making.
Alongside publishing the summary of responses to the second consultation, the government has published an update on the progress of REMA.
