Consultation description

We want to know what you think about our draft updated guidance to the Environment Agency and Natural Resources Wales on river basin planning.

This guidance includes a description of how the agencies will be expected to use the new and updated standards in classifying the status of water bodies, regulating controlled activities and setting environmental objectives.

A river basin is the area of land that runs or drains down into a river. The Environment Agency and Natural Resources Wales produce a river basin management plan for each district to address the main issues to protect and improve our water environment.
