Consultation description

In autumn 2011, Defra and the Devolved Fisheries Administrations launched a discussion with industry on the future of Seafish.  This discussion sought views from the industry on key themes identified in the Cleasby Review which helped inform the Government’s response to the review. Many of those involved in the seafood industry in the UK took part and provided their views in writing or at a series of regional workshops.

The discussion has now ended and the Fisheries Ministers have published a joint response which sets out their response to the discussion and the next steps for the future of Seafish.
