The United Kingdom is proud to promote values which underpin a secure and prosperous world. For the centenary year of UK-Czech diplomatic relations in 2019, the British Embassy in Prague is seeking to deepen our cooperation with Czech partners on two areas where British values and ingenuity are driving positive change: the promotion of gender equality and the search for sustainable solutions to environmental problems.

The British Embassy Prague is now inviting external organisations to partner with us in delivering projects which promote progress in gender equality and sustainable environmental solutions in the Czech Republic. We are seeking in particular proposals which will engage young future leaders in the fields of civil society, business and policy.

Successful proposals will look to: promote innovative and sustainable new practices and technical solutions; catalyse local network-building and the sharing of expertise; and embed knowledge of UK action on gender equality and sustainability.

Please note that the Embassy is able to guarantee funding for projects only until the end of the UK financial year, ie, the end of March 2019. We hope to continue funding beyond that point, but are not yet in a position to undertake support for longer-term projects. As part of this tender, we can therefore only guarantee funding for project activities that will take place before 28 February 2019.

Proposals for projects up to the value of £20,000 (c. CZK 600 000) should be sent to [email protected] by the 25 October 2018.
