CDE Innovation Network event: 1 December 2016, London

The Centre for Defence Enterprise (CDE) is holding a networking event for science and technology providers in London on 1 December 2016.

Registration is now open. It closes on 25 November 2016 at 12:30pm.

The event is taking place at the Grand Connaught Rooms in London.

Jim Pennycook, Head of Operations at CDE, will introduce CDE and give an overview of proof-of-concept research funding opportunities for innovative science and technology providers.

Technical experts from Dstl (the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory) will provide specific information about the themed competition: ‘beyond battery power’. This competition has up to £750,000 available for fully funded phase-1 projects.

Also, technical experts from Dstl will provide specific information about another themed competition: ‘synthetic biology for transparent materials’. This competition also has up to £750,000 available for fully funded phase-1 projects.

Bruce Hardie, CDE Technology Manager will brief on what CDE is all about, our funding opportunities and how to work with us.

In addition, Bruce will talk about how to create a great CDE proposal for CDE funding.

Attendees will be able to book a face-to-face meeting with CDE and Dstl subject matter experts to discuss potential proposals to the ‘beyond battery power’ themed competition and the ‘synthetic biology for transparent materials’ themed competition once you’ve signed up for the main event.

There’ll be networking opportunities with other potential bidders, current Dstl suppliers, CDE, Dstl and military experts.
