Conflict Analysis Training in Moldova
The British Embassy announces call for applications for the 2014 Conflict Analysis Training.
British Embassy Chisinau announces call for applications for the Conflict Analysis Training (CAT). The training course will be held during 27 September – 1 October in Chisinau and will be delivered by British trainers.
The project is addressed to a large group of people: decision-makers, media, academia and those involved in research into conflict including civil society actors of all types.
The aim of the course is to encourage objective analysis of frozen conflicts and to develop critical thinking towards them.
Conflict Analysis Training can be used as a tool to aid conflict prevention, conflict management when prevention fails, and conflict resolution during or towards the end of an active conflict.
The programme teaches participants objective conflict analysis by using the idea of generic conflict rather than focusing on a particular conflict.
The methodology deliberately does not use the conflict that course participants maybe most closely associated with. This promotes objectivity and reduces emotional content.
Participants are taught how to discern relative importance of conflict factors; how they relate to each other; as well as the conflict dynamics.
The course will be English, with simultaneous interpretation in Russian and Romanian (according to participants’ needs).
The course will take place in Chisinau. Accommodation and travel expenses for participants from other regions will be covered by organizers.
N.B.: Eligible candidates should be at least 18 years old.
If you are interested to take part in this course, please send your CV and completed Application Form to: [email protected], no later than Friday, 19 September 2014.
Candidates will be informed about the selection results personally via email or by phone before 23 September.
