DataConnect21 is coming!

Mark your calendars for our data event, starting 27 September

Data has never been more important but working remotely has made it harder for us to talk about data and to share what we are working on. And so we bring you DataConnect21, a week of data related events that will take place 27 September to 1 October 2021.

What is DataConnect21?

DataConnect21 is based on the model of Services Week 2021, which brought together a wide range of activities and events about services in government. Most events will be held online but we hope to have some in-person sessions if COVID-19 restrictions allow.

DataConnect21 will bring together people working with and around data to share stories and experiences on everything related to data in the public sector.

Who can attend?

Everyone is welcome at DataConnect21, from the most technical data expert who wants to talk about good dataset design, through to leaders who want to understand more about putting data at the heart of their organisation. You will be able to attend the sessions that interest you, from wherever you are.

We want to include people from:

  • central government
  • local government
  • devolved administrations
  • arms-length bodies

We want to connect with each other and learn about the great work that is happening.

Who is involved?

We are hosting this event with our sister organisation, the Data Standards Authority, part of the Central Digital and Data Office in the Cabinet Office. But we will not be hosting all the sessions!

DataConnect21 is a chance for everyone working in public sector data to share their work. Do you have an interesting story to tell? Have you found a new way to use government data? Have you made data flow more easily in your organisation? Have you made improvements to data governance? Do you have some great visualisation techniques to share?

If you have a story about public sector data, then it belongs at DataConnect21!

Get involved

DataConnect 21 is an online event taking place between Monday 27 September and Friday 1 October 2021. Get more information on our website where you can sign up to attend or run a session. If you have any questions, please email [email protected].
