Extended Fisheries and Seafood Scheme closes for 2024

Following high demand, the extended Fisheries and Seafood Scheme application period has closed.

The Fisheries and Seafood Scheme (FaSS) has now closed to new applications following strong demand from the fisheries and seafood sectors.

The scheme, which is administered by the Marine Management Organisation on behalf of Defra, was temporarily re-opened on 24 May after a further £2 million of funding was made available.

Applications to FaSS are being processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Those already submitted are currently being reviewed, and all applications acknowledged by MMO’s grants team will still be assessed. MMO will also contact any recent applicants yet to receive an acknowledgement to advise of next steps.

Details of successful applications will be published online in due course.

Further information:

  • Applications submitted on or after 12.00pm on 10 June 2024 will not be considered
