Foreign Secretary saddened by AH5017 plane crash

Foreign Secretary sends condolences to those affected by the crash of flight AH5017 and offers UK assistance.

The Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond said:

I am deeply saddened to hear confirmation of the crash of Air Algerie flight AH5017 on 24 July. My thoughts and sympathies go out to all those who have lost loved ones in this tragic incident. The British Government stands ready to help in any way we can.
