North Korea ballistic missile launch on 2 April: FCDO statement

Following North Korea’s ballistic missile launch on Tuesday 2 April, an FCDO spokesperson gave a statement.

This was published under the 2022 to 2024 Sunak Conservative government

An FCDO spokesperson said:

North Korea’s ballistic missile launch on 2 April is a breach of multiple UN Security Council resolutions (UNSCRs).

Unlawful ballistic missile launches continue to destabilise the peace and security of the Korean Peninsula.

The UK strongly urges North Korea to refrain from further provocations, return to dialogue and take credible steps towards denuclearisation.
