Alison Wilson
Biography
Alison Wilson is Regional Director for Yorkshire and the Humber. She was previously at His Majesty’s Treasury where she was leading work to establish the Darlington Economic Campus. Prior to that, Alison was the head of DfE’s Vulnerable Children Unit.
Earlier in her career, Alison has also worked on:
- opportunity areas
- the academies programme
- policy and reform work in both school funding and special education needs
Regional Director for Yorkshire and Humber
The Regional Director for Yorkshire and Humber is responsible for working locally across children’s social care, SEND, schools and area-based programmes to improve outcomes for children, families and learners. They are responsible for making decisions in the following local authorities:
- Barnsley
- Bradford
- Calderdale
- Doncaster
- East Riding of Yorkshire
- Kingston upon Hull, City of
- Kirklees
- Leeds
- North East Lincolnshire
- North Lincolnshire
- North Yorkshire
- Rotherham
- Sheffield
- Wakefield
- York
