Dr Nicola Rose

Biography

Nicola has a PhD in Genetics from the University of Leicester, and 30 years’ experience working on viruses, vaccines, and regulatory science from positions at Cambridge University, the National Institute for Biological Standards and Control, and the MHRA.

Prior to her current role, Nicola was the MHRA’s Deputy Director for Research and Development. She has also held senior positions in the MHRA as the Head of Vaccines Research & Development and Head of Virology.

As the Interim Executive Director of Science and Research, Nicola is responsible for the statutory scientific functions that underpin our role in delivering regulatory science through the agency’s laboratory complex based at its science campus.
