Robin Gisby
Biography
As Managing Director, Network Operations, Robin was a member of the main Board of Network Rail until February 2015. As well as running the rail network his role included maintaining relationships at the most senior levels with government, the passenger and freight Train Operating Companies, the Office of Rail Regulation and a broad range of industry suppliers and contractors.
He has experience of working closely with train operators from co-chairing the initial alliance with South West Trains and implementing major projects, for example as a member of the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympics Transport Board.
He now has a number of non-executive and advisory roles including The Defence Infrastructure Organisation, Navigator Terminals and Engineering UK. He has a first degree in Engineering Science and an MBA and is a Fellow of the CILT and IET.
