Details

The flood and coastal innovation programmes (the programmes) are developing new ways to manage flood and coastal erosion risks in the face of a changing climate. The programmes play a crucial role in helping to achieve the ambitions in the national Flood & Coastal Erosion Risk Management strategy.

The Environment Agency has completed a mid-programme review of the programmes. We have gathered feedback from a ranges of sources as part of the review. These sources include:

  • project teams
  • workshops
  • interviews
  • questionnaires

This report gives examples of the best innovations and the challenges encountered by project teams in building resilience and adaptation to flooding and coastal change.

Two infographics are included. These give a visual summary of the programme outcomes explained in the main report.

You can find out more at our dedicated flood and coastal resilience programmes website.
