Details

The claimant made two complaints alleging that the Union had 1) breached section 30(2)(a) of the Trade Union and Labour Relations (Consolidation) Act 1992 (the 1992 Act) by not allowing access to the Unions accounting records within 28 days of the request being made and 2) breached section 30(6) of the 1992 Act by demanding an amount which exceeded the reasonable administrative expenses incurred by the union in respect of the accounts requested. The first complaint was upheld by the Certification Officer and an enforcement order was issued. The Certification Officer dismissed the second complaint.
