Details

The claimant made a complaint alleging that the National Union of Teachers (“NUT”) breached section 30(2)(a) of the Trade Union and Labour Relations (Consolidation) Act 1992 (“the 1992 Act”) by failing to comply within 28 days with his request to access accounting records of the Union. At the hearing on 15 December 2014, the parties agreed an amicable settlement. By consent, the Certification Officer made a declaration that the NUT had breached section 30(2)(a) of the 1992 Act but did not make an enforcement order.
