Details

Complaints were made that the union had breached section 30 of the Trade Union and Labour Relations (Consolidation) Act 1992 (the 1992 Act) by failing to provide the claimants with access to the accounting records of their branch and that the union had acted in breach of its rules in respect of a branch’s failure to elect members to two committees (section 108A(2)(a) of the 1992 Act). It was found that the union had failed to comply with the claimant’s request for access to the branch accounting records and an enforcement order was made. The complaints of alleged breaches of union rule were dismissed.
