ACRE advice: applications to market GM oilseed rape
ACRE's advice on applications to market genetically modified oilseed rape.
Documents
Details
Generic advice ACRE has provided for applications to market herbicide-tolerant oilseed rape for uses excluding cultivation. This advice applies where ACRE considers a GM oilseed rape variety poses no greater risk to human health and the environment than non-GM varieties.
Prior to the UK’s exit from the EU, applications to market GM crops in the UK were made at EU level, and approval applied across the UK. On leaving the EU, the UK continued to recognise existing EU-level approvals. Following the UK’s exit from the EU, products are approved for marketing separately in each territory of GB.
