The aggregate minerals survey provides in-depth and up to date information on national and regional sales, inter-regional flows, consumption and permitted reserves of aggregates. The report is the collation of the data for primary aggregates in England and Wales from the survey undertaken for 2009.

This second edition replaces the version published on 23 May 2011. The updated report also presents data on the movement and consumption of primary aggregates, by local planning authority.

The findings and recommendations in this report are those of the consultant authors and do not necessarily represent the views or proposed policies of the Department for Communities and Local Government.
