Details

This is the final report of the independent Airline Insolvency Review. The review looked into passenger protections in the event of an airline or travel company becoming insolvent. The report sets out the:

  • evidence collected
  • analysis performed
  • conclusions the review drew
  • final recommendations made by the review

We have also published supporting evidence information comprising of 6 research reports. These reports, commissioned with external consultants during the review, supplied evidence and recommendations which informed the final report.

This report replaces the recommendations made in the ‘Airline Insolvency Review interim report’ of 12 July 2018 which was originally an outcome of the Airline Insolvency Review: a call for evidence.

The independent Airline Insolvency Review was chaired by Peter Bucks and ran from February 2018 to March 2019 and the terms of reference we’re established in March 2018.
