Details

Evaluation of the ‘Travelling to School Initiative’ that was launched in 2003, with the aim of:

  • reducing car use for the journey to school
  • allowing more children to take regular exercise

School census data set for 2009 and 2010 showed a reduction of 2.3% drop in the number of children travelling to school by car between the years:

  • 2006 and 2007
  • 2009 and 2010
