Details

This framework sets out what local authorities should consider when planning how they will meet their obligations under animal health and welfare legislation.

It incorporates the full range of animal health and welfare work carried out by local authorities, with the exception of licensing of animal establishments.

Local authorities should use this risk based approach to provide the best services they can to meet the needs of their community and national priorities.
