The Advocate General for Scotland invites applications from interested Devils for appointment to a panel of ‘Nominated Presenting Officers’ for the Home Office. This panel is being convened to supplement the existing panel of Nominated Presenting Officers (recently-called Counsel, previously known as ‘Junior Juniors’), to appear on behalf of the Home Office in immigration appeals before the First Tier Tribunal.
Panel members will receive ad hoc instructions from the Home Office Presenting Officers’ Unit in Glasgow. It is anticipated that the appointment will be for a period of six months. Appointment to the panel is open to any current Devil. This opportunity would suit people with an interest in or experience in immigration law.

Applications should be made by letter and should be accompanied by a current curriculum vitae. The letter should contain the applicant’s contact details. It should set out the applicant’s main areas of work and professional qualifications, together with any other qualifications or experience the applicant would wish to have considered.
Applications should be submitted in accordance with the instructions set out in the information for applicants by no later than midnight on 29 March 2022.
