The final report provides a process evaluation of the apprenticeship trailblazers between January 2014 and March 2015.

It follows the interim report, which was originally published in March 2015.

The research involved 16 of the trailblazers and explored:

  • how trailblazer networks are established and structured
  • the processes involved in developing standards and detailed assessments
  • employer responses to the national principles for assessment, and to the funding reforms
  • the overall satisfaction of employers with the trailblazer development process

The research was carried out by the Institute for Employment Studies.
