In December 2017, ATHE notified Ofqual that it would not be able to comply with the 31 December 2017 deadline for the allocation of GL and TQT to relevant qualifications. ATHE raised a number of queries in relation to the TQT Requirements and requested further time to calculate GL and TQT.
Following an Ofqual review of the case, ATHE undertook to review its methodology for calculating GL and TQT. ATHE also undertook to ensure that it had assigned a number of hours for GL and TQT to all relevant qualifications by 1 March 2018.
ATHE gave a statement of assurance on 6 March 2018, signed by the Chair and Responsible Officer confirming that it had complied with the terms of the Undertaking.
ATHE assigned GL and TQT values to all qualifications by 1 March 2018, save for the ATHE Level 6 Extended Diploma in Business and Administrative Management (601/2376/X) which has now been withdrawn from the Register. No learners had been registered against this qualification since January 2015.
Ofqual is satisfied that ATHE has complied with the terms of the Undertaking and the matter has now been closed.
