Access to Work live running memo LR21

Updated 17 December 2024

This publication has been withdrawn.

This memo is no longer current and is not being updated. It is published here for reference only.

Background

1. This memo informs you of amendments that have been made to the Access to Work holistic assessments provider guidance.

2. The provider guidance now provides detail on the referral process for Face to Face and virtual holistic assessments in regard to the changes to the contract.

3. All associated provider guidance annexes have been removed from the GOV.UK website and relocated to Jaggaer.

Summary and action

4. In addition to revising the provider guidance to reflect the changes to the contract, we have also reviewed the guidance and made amendments to improve the clarity and structure and split the guidance into individual chapters for ease of reference.

5. Most of the amendments have been made to Chapter 2: Target Group and Eligibility and Chapter 5: The Provider Referrals and Payment System (PRaP).

6. The revised provider guidance is now available on GOV.UK.

7. Documents published by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), including documents you need to download or fill in to access one of the services we provide, should be fully accessible. DWP Digital Group Communications have recently run an exercise to remove provider forms from GOV.UK in line with these accessibility regulations.

8. The following Access to Work Holistic Assessments provider guidance annexes have been removed from GOV.UK. They are now available via Jaggaer.

  • Annex A: needs assessment referral
  • Annex B: needs assessment report
  • Annex C: standard email format
  • Annex D: assessment contracts management information
  • Annex E: standard wording for complaints

9. Annex F: PRaP process has been permanently removed from GOV.UK due to accessibility issues. It will not be published on Jaggaer as it is now obsolete as it details the PRaP referral process prior to the introduction of virtual assessments.
