Details

The Banking Act 2009 gives the Treasury the power to specify payment systems to be supervised by the Bank of England, as part of the Bank’s objective to maintain UK financial stability.

The Treasury has already specified a number of payment systems for supervision by the Bank. These orders are available on the National Archive website.
